Raising Registered Brahman Cattle

Donnie has been raising quality Registered Brahman Cattle for over 40 years here in the small town of Moulton Alabama. Donnie started out concentrating on seed stock bulls for the commercial cattleman and grew into one of the top producers of Brahman Cattle in Alabama. He started his cattle business with one Brahman bull and six cows and grew into a farm with over four hundred head of brood cows.

When Registered Brahman Cattle became so hard to come by we decided to start our own herd of registered Brahman so that we could continue to offer top quality cattle at a rate the commercial cattleman and woman could afford. At that time we already had Luther, the original Registered Brahman Bull we purchased from Don Banks, a renowned breeder who is no longer with us, so we decided to buy former show cows with top performance and genetics to breed to him. Some of these ladies as well as Luther are getting quite a bit of age on them and we are trying to get as much top quality from them as we can before their time as breeders are done. We are selling all of these ladies and Luther on Feb. 21, 2022 at the Southeast Mississippi Livestock Barn. We have chosen to sell all of our registered herd except for Gentle Boss and around 7 of the heifers we raised here on the farm. We will have a limited amount of seed stock bulls available for the market from this point on. We are not healthy enough and cannot get the help we need so we are downsizing to the extreme.

We are one of a very few breeders that will guarantee our livestock; and not just for a few short months. We stand behind our herd genetics and will put our genetics against any anywhere and be right on top with them!

We have not been showing our calves lately due to the fact that there are no young people in our area that are interested in showing and we have been getting bull calves of late instead of heifers. We will not be in the show rings but we still have the top line, fertile, conformed cattle available for your program.

We are now raising top quality registered Brahman Cattle.

Whether you buy from our farm or not, always do your research on the breed you are buying...especially Brahman. There are look a likes that can fool even the most seasoned veterans in the business.

Be sure you buy from reputable breeders.

The genetics with Brahman cattle can vary and temperaments vary with them. Look at the Docility and milk EPD's. If you do not understand the numbers do some research online and get acquainted with them before buying.

If the breeder is not doing EPD information check the breeder out with other ABBA breeders....we know each other and can tell you about things to look for in the cattle to make good decisions on your purchases.

The Brahman genetics are time proven and we do have some of the best quality available here in North Alabama.
